Our Story
Home Grown Meals was a dream from duo Chef Sean Patrick Gallagher and husband Alp Calgar Cilingir.
Chef Sean grew up in Connecticut with a family deep rooted in the restaurant industry. With a passion for food, Sean started working in restaurants at the age of fourteen years old. His grandmother Ellie was a Chef and showed him at a young age the beauty of food.
He attended The Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Culinary Arts. Since graduating Sean has spent his time working as a private chef, caterer, food stylist, restaurant consultant, event planner, and recipe developer in New York City. In the world of private events Sean has prepared parties for political, celebrity, and international figures. Sean has also compiled a comprehensive list of clients as a Food Stylist adding his touch to global campaigns.
He has traveled and worked throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East as a Private Chef learning as much as he could to enrich and inspire his global cuisine. Using the freshest seasonal ingredients Sean is able to prepare meals for clients that suit their tastes and give them a memorable experience. He also values passing on his learnings, and teaching others how to prepare effortless meals and how to create a party at home.
